former lightning forward brian boyle approaches free agency this week, he said he's trying to stay busy.
That's easy to do for boyle, whose wife, lauren, gave birth to their second child, daughter isabella, on may 24. On sunday, boyle, 32, played in the backyard of his hingham, mass home with his three-year-old son, declan. But boyle took some time to talk to the tampa bay times about his future.
"it's going to be an interesting week," boyle said.
and boyle, dealt to toronto at the march trade deadline, said he's interested in returning to the lightning.
"we love tampa," boyle told the times. "if tampa wanted to work out a deal, that's definitely a huge option for us. That's something that i've kind of always thought about. I haven't closed the door on anything."
the question is whether the feeling is mutual? The lightning is looking to add at least one, if not two, forwards to its top-nine. Yzerman is targeting the wing, right or left, and boyle - a natural center - played the wing a lot late in his three-year stint with tampa bay. But the lightning wasn't among the first group of teams to contact boyle's camp sunday when the window for courting unrestricted free agents opened.
boyle enjoyed his time in toronto, making the playoffs and giving no. 1 seed capitals everything they had in the first-round series.
"that was a blast," boyle said. "we had a pretty fun couple of weeks in the playoffs, wish it was a little bit longer. Their fans were a blast, jumping on board. They deserve to have a good team there, the support and passion they have for the game. They have some really good young players, they're in a good spot."
boyle should have some options in free agency, with a few unidentified teams already reaching out. And if the lightning calls, boyle would definitely consider a reunion. tampa is where boyle and his wife, lauren, first lived after getting married and where declan was born. Now, as boyle says, he's thinking for four instead of one.
"i had a great time there," boyle said. "everybody in that organization treated me unbelievable. It was a blast to be part of it. Getting traded sucks. At the time, it's always kind of a change. When the season ended, i'm a free agent, and i've kind of been here before in this position. And i've been fortunate to enjoy every place that i've played. (tampa) is a great place to be, great place to start a family. and, honestly, we'll see what they say. You want to be wanted. That's the other part."

The latest was wing Jonathan Drouin, the third overall pick in 2013, who was sent to Montreal in a blockbuster deal last week. Eddig elvoltam valahogy Big Y döntéseivel, de ezt most feleslegesnek és veszélyesnek tartom annak ellenére, hogy tele vagyunk jobbnál jobb támadókkal, bár ez az eredményességben nem igazán mutatkozott meg. Azt remélem, hogy végre Conacherből is sikerül faragni a Johnsonhoz hasonló képességű játékost, és akkor talán minden O.K. lesz

Sergachev viszont egyelore nem valtotta be a hozza fuzott remenyeket. be is johet nagyon, es lukra is futhatunk vele. ami mondjuk lenyeges vonzata a cserenek, hogy ot nem kell meg levedetni a Vegas miatt, mig JD-nal ez alap lett volna.

 Yzerman sokadszorra szomlrít el nagyon. Két dolgot szerettem volna igazán:
1) Amikor a Duchene -> Montreál vonal szóba jött, akkor ugye egyértelműnek tűnt, hogy Sergachev lehetne az ideális ellenérték. Sőt az összes rumor közűl ez volt az abszolút szimpatikus.
2) Amíóta ment Tampában a Drouin hiszti reméltem, hogy valahogy össze tudjuk hozni újra MacKinonnal.
Erre ez a köcsög Y egy cserével összetöri mindkét álmom.
(Drouinvan szvsz simán benne van a potenciál már rövid távon is, hogy 5,5M-ért nagyon megérje alkalmazni.)
